•First Flush Washdown Diversion System (FF600)
ParkUSA's Fox First Flush Washdown Diversion System is designed to manage water runoff from an outdoor (unroofed) equipment wash area. Drains are typically located on the wash pad where water drainage is collected. This water will consist of either rainfall runoff or wastewater produced by equipment washdown operations.
Runoff is discharged to the storm sewer, but wastewater may contain pollutants that are harmful to the environment if released to the storm sewer system.
With the Washdown Diversion System, wastewater is collected and routed to the proper sewer system by sensing the trigger-pull of the pressure wand or turning on the faucet.
An FF 600 Washdown System is suitable for applications where the open area is greater than 200 square feet and pollutants potentially remain after a washdown or similar activity. Subsequent rain could discharge pollutants from the wash pad into the stormwater system and eventually find its way into the waterways.

The First Flush Washdown Diversion System (FF600) consists of a drain chamber with two outlet pipes. One pipe leads to the storm sewer outlet. The other pipe is the sanitary sewer outlet that contains a diversion valve. This diversion valve is automatic and uses water hydraulics to power the valve open or closed.
During a rain event, if no washdown is taking place, runoff is collected in the drain chamber where the level rises in the chamber where it reaches and flows out the storm sewer outlet.
During washdown operations, the diversion valve receives a hydraulic signal that the pressure washer is in use and opens. Wastewater is collected in the drain chamber and flows out to the sanitary sewer. At the end of the washdown operation the diversion valve will close and open to perform a batch release sequence. This operation will capture and divert a volume of wastewater equivalent to the 'first flush' rainwater capture (typically ½" of water of the entire wash pad). This operation is performed by the PLC control system and a float switch in the drain chamber.
By knowing the area of the catchment and the type of pollutant loads, the first flush volume is determined and the PLC controller is programmed to divert the wastewater first flush volume for treatment.
After the washdown and first flush operation has ended, subsequent rainfall will be drained to the storm sewer until another wash operation is used.
